Our workshop series are conducted by world renowned Master Artists from different regions in Africa. It is designed to expand the knowledge base of the community in regards to the African art forms focusing on technique, execution, history and cultural expression. Since African dances, drum rhythms and music are done for specific purposes and rites of passages, participants learn the significance of all dance and drum rhythms. Songs are taught in their native languages like Soussou, Malinke and Wolof which are then translated and explained.
